Dialogue and Documentation

As a learning collaborative, NRFC seeks to build knowledge and information about the process of creating alternative rural economies at the regional level; utilize the collective investment of steering committee members as a body of knowledge from which to learn; and facilitate greater understanding of the underpinnings of movements for change and the interrelationship of race, class and power dynamics on effecting change.

Accordingly, NRFC has developed a program of documentation and dialogue to collect and disseminate these lessons, knowledge and information. The documentation program is designed to capture lessons and develop tools and approaches that help rural networks and regions of persistent rural poverty to overcome structural barriers that hinder the development of sustainable economic environments. NRFC's program of dialogue is one of information sharing, cross-learning, agenda and strategy development among a cross-section of rural advocates committed to social change and the reinvention of rural economies.
