Our Staff

James A. Richardson, Executive Director
Office Location: Dallas, TX

Jim received his B.A. in History, with a minor in Business, from Southeastern Louisiana University and a Master of Theology (MTh) degree, along with several years of doctoral studies in Philosophy and Theology, at Southern Methodist University. Jim has more than 20 years of experience in affordable housing, non-profit management, community development lending and philanthropy, including nearly a decade with Bank of America. Jim is the founding Executive Director of NRFC and lives in Dallas when he is not on an airplane to some remote rural community.

Athan Lindsay, Director of Philanthropy & Alternative Giving Strategies
Regional Officer: Northern Plains
Office Location: Durham, NC

Athan received his B.A. in History from Davidson College where his studies included study and living abroad in Uruguay (South America).  Athan has 10 years of experience in philanthropy that has included stints with Mary Reynolds Babcock and Warner foundations. Athan lives in Durham, NC but will be moving to North Dakota-where he will be the only staff member able to claim that he “actually lives in a remote and rural place.”

Tracey Greene-Dorsett, Director of Learning & Evaluation
Regional Officer: Mid-South
Office Location: Charlotte, NC

Tracey holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work (BSSW), with minors in Sociology and African American Studies, from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of South Carolina. With over a decade of experience in community economic development, housing development finance, community organizing, HIV/AIDS prevention, and program evaluation, Tracey has served in staff and board roles in several key nonprofit institutions in the Southeast and nationally, including the South Carolina Association of Community Development Corporations, Southern Rural Development Institute and Development Training Institute. Tracey joined NRFC staff in 2003 and lives in Charlotte, NC.

Melissa Reddick, Associate Director of Grants & Administration
Office Location: Dallas, TX

Melissa graduated from Texas A&M University in 1997 with a BS in Business Marketing. After several years working for local nonprofits, lastly as an Executive Director of a Dallas based business association, Melissa joined NRFC in 2004. She is currently pursuing a graduate certificate in Community Resourcing and Volunteerism with the University of North Texas' Educational Consortium for Volunteerism.
